HÉR comes to Wrocław with material from their debut album “Monochrome”, released by the French label Season of Mist and Mystic Production.

“Monochrome” is a collection of seven compositions forming a coherent, almost ritualistic journey in which Slavic melodic sensibility meets Nordic coldness, Old Norse poetry and a contemporary musical language.

HÉR creates its own world at the crossroads of dark folk, experimental music, jazz and heavy, trance-like soundscapes. Throat vocals, violin, saxophone, bass, expansive drums and subtle electronics combine into music that is both raw and spacious — balancing between silence and violence, fire and ice, meditation and primal energy.

Part of the album’s lyrics and atmosphere draws inspiration from Old Norse wisdom poetry. Rather than functioning as historical decoration, it becomes a starting point for reflections on transience, patience, strength, community and the relationship between humans and nature.

The album was recorded at Monochrom Studio with Ignacy Gruszecki, while mixing and mastering were handled by Marcin Bors.

Live, HÉR transforms this material into an intense, physical experience. Repetition, improvisation and the energy of five musicians make each concert something more than a recreation of the album — “Monochrome” is rebuilt from the ground up every night.
